Do you see what I see?

What is it that Jesus came to do FOR us? Did He come just to throw a life-preserver into the lake of fire? Did He come just so we could walk through the pearly gates one day? Did He come just to give us some sort of comfort that one day when we die we have something to look forward to? Did He come to make this life better? To ease your pain?

No. He came to kill you.

He came to kill everything you think you are. To cut it off at the root. Everything that keeps you bound, broke, busted, and disgusted. Your religion. The way that seems right to a man. Your self-righteousness and self-loathing. Your pride and your false-humility. Destroy every attempt of trying to save ourselves.

Kill you dead.

What was it that Jesus came to do TO us?

He came to restore the original image…the original identity of mankind…so that we can fulfill the original mandate.

Have dominion over the earth. Be fruitful and multiply. Replenish the earth and subdue it.

Multiply what?…the image. We are the idols of God….made in His image.

All of creation is waiting on us to manifest His glory as the Sons of God. Instead we worship the idol…ourselves…the creation over the creator. We’ve elevated our thoughts above His. He came to wipe your hard drive and give you a new operating system and a whole new processor. He said…since you can’t stop worshipping yourself…..then you’ll just have to die and become one with Me.

He came to kill us…..and then give us His Mind, His Perspective, His Peace, His Healing, His Wisdom, His Faith, His Glory, His Nature, His Spirit, His Righteousness, His Name, Authority, and Power. He came to give us His Abundant Life.

He came to give you His IDENTITY. His fullness. His measure. His stature.

Gal 2:20 I am crucified with Christ: nevertheless I live; yet not I, but Christ liveth in me: and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God, who loved me, and gave himself for me.

What was it that Jesus came to do THROUGH us?

He came to reconcile the entire world unto Himself. To reconcile his Body. To bind up the brokenhearted, to proclaim liberty to the captives, to open the prisons of them that are bound. To preach this gospel, heal the sick, cleans the lepers, cast out devils, and raise the dead.

When will we take Him at His Word and start to see ourselves as clearly as we truly are in Him?

1 Cor 13:11 TPT When I was a child, I spoke about childish matters, for I saw things like a child and reasoned like a child. But the day came when I matured, and I set aside my childish ways.

For now we see but a faint reflection of riddles and mysteries as though reflected in a mirror, but one day we will see face-to-face. My understanding is incomplete now, but one day I will understand everything, just as everything about me has been fully understood. Until then, there are three things that remain: faith, hope, and love—yet love surpasses them all. So above all else, let love be the beautiful prize for which you run.

Do you see Jesus?
